GHA – A Celebration of Sport
Gosberton House Academy celebrated the return of Sports afternoon in school with parents attending and on the hottest day of the year took part in lots of fun activities. Over 70 families joined in with their children from GHA took part in a variety of sport, sensory and engaging activities throughout the afternoon. The afternoon ended with running ‘challenges’ on the field and parents, grandparents and siblings joining in.

UOLAT Schools’ Aid to Ukraine
Parents and Pupils at sites within the trust have been generously donating to victims of the Ukraine crisis. At Gosberton House, Items such as nappies, non-perishable food and medical and first aid items were very kindly donated and taken to Gosberton Methodist Church where they will be transported to those families in need.
GHA – A Special Visitor
GHA had an exciting visitor recently, in the form of Peter Burrow, the Peterborough United furry mascot! GHA – Charity Lunch
Staff and pupils at Gosberton House Academy donned their best Christmas jumpers and ate Christmas lunch on December 9th in aid of Save The Children. Donations raised £66.00 for the charity. GHA – Awarded Advanced Accredited Award
Gosberton House Academy has been awarded an Advanced Accredited Award from the National Autistic Society, according to their expectations for specialist schools. They have demonstrated the highest standards of good practice in supporting autistic children and young people. HPA – Holbeach in Bloom
Holbeach Primary Academy has been very busy in their outdoor planting area ready for our entry into the Holbeach in Bloom competition. Our children have been exploring a bug hotel, planting fruit and vegetables and spending time in the outdoor area for all aspects of the curriculum. On 15th June 2021, 11 Year 10 students studying French took part in a competition organised by Business Language Champions. There were 8 teams from different schools across the UK. The competition was called Europe Goes to Tokyo, an event to mark the 2021 Olympics. Two pupils at University Academy Long Sutton have won awards for their designs to “Bring Local Communities Together”, following their plaque designs for Sutton Bridge. Trust – Name Change
The Trustees of the Lincolnshire Educational Trust are delighted to announce the change of name of the trust to University of Lincoln Academy Trust. This follows a strategic review of the Trust in 2020. The Trust has updated its ethos and executive management based on that review. A major aim of the review is to build closer working relationships with different areas of the University.

HPA – Ewe Starters
Staff and pupils at Holbeach Primary Academy have welcomed two Texal/Dorset cross lambs to the flock. Youngsters will be helping to care for the two lambs along with the school’s existing ducks and chickens as part of its outdoor learning programme. UALS – DT Room Refurbishment
During the summer the two DT rooms at University Academy Long Sutton underwent a complete makeover. The rooms had changed very little since the school was first opened in 1959 and contained most of the original benches and equipment. Contractors came in and sanded the original wooden floors restoring them to their near original state. UAH – New Science Block Nearing Completion
Construction of the new science block at the University Academy Holbeach site is nearing its final stages and is due to open after the October half-term. Donation to Gosberton House Academy
Ella's Project Last week we were visited by Ella's Project a local charity in Spalding to donate PPE Visors to the school.
