Academy Monitoring Committees are established by the Board of Trustees.
Local Governing Committees in each school are drawn from the school / academy community as both elected and appointed members. Academy Monitoring Committees are accountable to the Trust Board. The broad duties and powers of a Local Governing Committee are set out Trust’s Governance Structure.
Each Academy forms an Academy Monitoring Committee (AMC), where governors are appointed initially for a four year term of office.
Delegated by the Board of Trustees, the Chief Executive Officer, is responsible for the work of AMCs, working with the Director of Primary Education to set work programmes and schedule training.
The Director or Primary Education will be appointed to each Primary Academy’s AGC, supporting the Principal and Chair.
